CK Therapy; support.
Let’s talk about mental health. "Asking about suicide saves lives but it can be hard to know where to start or how to help. Evidence shows that talking about suicide does not make it more likely to happen - it reduces the stigma and is often the first step in a person's recovery. Ask them directly 'Are you thinking about suicide?' By using the word suicide, you are telling the young person that it's OK to talk openly about their thoughts of suicide with you. If someone is suicidal, listen to them and allow them to express their feelings. They may feel a huge sense of relief that someone is willing to hear their darkest thoughts."@ PAPYRUS - PREVENTION OF YOUNG SUICIDE LET THEM KNOW YOU CARE & ARE LISTENING "It sounds as though things are really hard at the moment... Can you tell me a bit more?" "Things must be so painful for you to feel like there is no way out. I want to listen and help." " Take your time and tell me what's happening for you at the moment." Reassure them that they are not alone and you can look for support together. "It's not uncommon to have thoughts of suicide. With help and support many people can work through these thoughts and stay safe." "You've shown a lot of strength in telling me this. I want to help you find support." If you feel like your life is at risk call 999 or go straight to A&E if it is safe to do so or call your local crisis number. - Samaritines helpline : 116 123 https://www.samaritans.org/how-we-can.../contact-samaritan/ - Mind Helpline: 0300 123 3393 www.mind.org.uk/information-support/helplines/ - Domestic Abuse support helpline : 08082000247 https://www.nationaldahelpline.org.uk - Shout 24/7 text line: text 85258 for help. https://giveusashout.org - Papyrus; prevention of young suicide https://www.papyrus-uk.org • Call: 0800 068 4141 • Text: 07860039967 #suicideawareness #therapy #mentalhealthsupport #preventionofyoungsuicide #emdr #arttherapy #psychotherapy #reducethestigma

CK Therapy Thoughtful reflections
One of our favourite quotes “putting your needs into the picture isn’t saying me first it’s saying me too!” #peoplepleasingrecovery #peoplepleasing #inspirationalquotes #psychotherapy #emdr #arttherapy #ashbydelazouch #mentalhealthsupport CK Therapy ; thoughtful reflections.
Two of our favourite questions to ask are from the brilliant psychotherapist Emma Reed Turrell when talking about putting our needs into the frame are; 1. How has someone cast you in their life? & 2. Do you want to play that part? As an example; 1. Someone has cast you as their friend they want to speak to you 24/7 via txt. & 2. You’re someone who doesn’t like messaging and would prefer a face to face conversation over a coffee. Once you have the answers to these questions you can explore if you can re navigate your friendships / relationships to meet both of your needs. #psychotherapyquestions #pleaseyourself #psychotherapy #mentalhealthawareness #boundaries #negotiatingfriendship #EMDR #arttherapy CK Therapy Book Recommendations

Born for Love offers practical ideas for combating the negative influences of modern life and fostering positive social change to benefit us all” The boy who was raised as a dog. “ How does trauma affect a child's mind-and how can that mind.
