Ck Therapy ; thoughtful reflections
So many who come for therapy struggle with the shift to compassionate thinking as a response to a critical voice. Here’s some examples of how to reframe compassionately when experiencing some difficult feelings. I feel vs the compassionate response. 1. Overwhelmed … “My needs matter” 2. Burnout … “I can take one step at a time.” 3. Stressed … “I have permission to relax” 4. Upset … “my feelings are valid” 5. Angry … “anger is a normal emotion. It’s a signal you’d like something to change.” 6. Anxious … “my anxiety is trying to keep me safe. I’m doing my best.” #compassionfocusedtherapy #emdr #arttherapy #psychotherapy #mentalhealthawareness #supportivethoughts #compassionatethinking
