Remember that your capacity isn’t the same as your capability.
Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you have the energy, emotional space, or presence to do it well right now. For example: you might have messages to reply to, laundry piling up, and a list of things you could get through. But if your body feels heavy, your mind is foggy, or you’re emotionally stretched, pushing through often leads to doing things in a way that feels disconnected or resentful. Capacity is about what you can hold well, not just what you can force yourself to do. Sometimes the most therapeutic choice is to pause, rest, and come back when you can engage with intention rather than depletion. #psychotherapy #selfcare #therapeuticreflections
