Let's be curious about jealousy

CK THERAPY
Summer therapy reflections
Lets be Curious about Jealousy...
As summer begins to bloom, something else often surfaces in therapy: jealousy. It’s a word many shy away from - even fear.
“I shouldn’t be feeling this,” we tell ourselves.
“I must be a bad person for thinking that.”
Maybe you scroll past a friend’s beach trip and feel a pang. Or hear about someone’s weekend plans and suddenly feel a little emptier inside. Jealousy kicks in - and shame often follows close behind.
But what if, instead of judging it, we listened to it?
Jealousy isn’t a flaw — it’s a signal. A quiet voice asking,
“What am I longing for?”
Closer friendships?
# More adventure or connection?
Rest, joy, or just more of you?
In therapy, we get curious. We explore how you might begin to gently meet those needs - without guilt.
• What might your jealousy be trying to tell you?
Jealousy isn’t a flaw - it’s a signal. A quiet voice asking, “What am I longing for?”
What is your Jealousy signalling to you?

CK Therapy Compassionate partner reviews
Read a recent review about our wonderful team member Carolyn and how she’s supported a teenager recently.

“Carolyn has been a godsend for my teenage daughter, and to us as a family. She has gone above and beyond to help, and genuinely cares about her well being.
My daughter can read if someone likes her or not, and feels comfortable enough with Carolyn to open up about things which she hasn’t shared with others.
Within the first session Carolyn identified possible neurodiversity needs that we hadn’t, and since we have now got a formal diagnosis and hopefully are on the pathway to the correct support.
Carolyn continues to support our daughter to help her navigate her emotions and develop strategies to build her self esteem and feelings of self worth.
Carolyn has written to both our GP and school to outline her areas of need and to suggest ways in which she could be supported in a school environment.
We are truly grateful for all the help she has, and continues to provide. Carolyn has remained professional and warm throughout, and I have never felt uncomfortable making contact or seeking advice.
I wholeheartedly recommend Carolyn (I have signposted her to others I know) and I only wish we had gone to see her earlier.”
