Ck Therapy ; thoughtful reflections.
We truly resonate with the quote, “Be where your feet are.” It’s a powerful reminder to stay grounded in the present moment and embrace mindfulness. Life can often feel overwhelming, and we understand that there are times when you just want to escape. In those moments, it’s important to acknowledge how challenging it can be to remain present. Mindfulness, however, offers a different approach. Instead of pushing away difficult emotions or distractions, it invites us to fully experience them and, with gentle awareness, let them pass. Practicing mindfulness helps us find peace even in the toughest moments, guiding us to stay connected and aware rather than seeking an escape. In therapy we often try and create a toolkit a handful of resources you can use in or outside of the therapy room when things get overwhelming to ground you. Learning and practicing mindfulness is one of those tools. CKTherapy Recommends
Boundary Boss by Terri Cole Boundaries have become a popular term in today’s society, but we’ve noticed that many people coming to therapy use the term without truly understanding what boundaries are, how they’re currently using them or how to implement effectively. We love how Boundary Boss provides guidance for those who have been resisting or over-giving in relationships. It helpfully incorporates reflective questions and practical steps and scripts throughout the book, which help readers navigate the process of setting healthy boundaries. #bookrecommendations #therapistrecommended #therapytools&resources #Emdr #Psychotherapy #arttherapy #boundarybossbook #boundaryboss #notanadjustafan ✨ In therapy, it's easy to think the therapist will “fix” everything, but healing is a partnership. Think of it like working with a personal trainer. You wouldn’t expect to build muscle after one hour a week, right? It takes consistency, practice, and time. 💪
The same goes for mental health. Your therapist is here to guide and support you, but it’s up to you to keep practicing the tools you learn. It’s about small, everyday actions that build up to lasting change. 🌱 And remember, rest is just as important as the work. It’s okay to fall back on old coping strategies sometimes—what matters is how you treat yourself during those moments. Be kind to yourself and keep going. You’re doing great. 💖 |
