I am an experienced Responsible Individual who has worked my way up from a residential support worker to managing and opening children’s homes over a period of 8 years . I was a registered manager for 4 years before progressing to a responsible individual for 19 months to date. During my time as a Responsible Individual, I have opened three successful homes and I am about to open my fourth. Karmen can provide expert support in: • Interpreting and meeting regulatory requirements with confidence. • Embedding a strong, positive staff culture that supports children to thrive. • Strengthening compliance, governance, and leadership oversight. I have supported children, young people and their families as a specialist trauma psychotherapist for 6 years. I have worked in children's homes for the last three years to date. Providing 1:1 psychotherapy to the children and young people, well-being check ins with the staff team and management and delivering PACE training. Integrating a DDP approach, PACE and trauma - informed care. As a BACP registered DDP informed trauma psychotherapist, my role focuses on bringing a clinical and therapeutic layer to yourpractice. This includes: • Embedding therapeutic behaviour support into everyday care. • Developing trauma-informed care planning and reflective practice. • Facilitating group sessions using real case studies or targeted leadership coaching. I can also offer bespoke therapeutic packages designed for direct work with young people, focused on trauma, attachment, emotional regulation and long-term outcomes. |
